About The Course

Course Overview The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is designed for individuals who are already working in the education sector or those who have extensive experience and wish to formalize their qualifications. This 120-credit qualification is accredited by Qualifi, a recognized organization by Ofqual. Students will acquire the necessary knowledge and experience through a combination of theoretical study and practical activity during their placement in a real-world teaching position, which can be either an existing position or a position found during their studies with OBS. The programme will assess students' learning through nine online multiple-choice assessments and seven written assignments. Upon completion, students will be able to plan and implement schemes of work, develop teaching and learning strategies, and teach effectively in various educational contexts globally. Once students have earned their QTLS, Online Business School, in partnership with T15 International, can help them find their ideal job within the teaching sector.

Course Details

The teacher training program is comprised of 9 online modules created by the knowledgeable academic team at Online Business School. These modules are designed to provide students with a strong theoretical foundation to enhance their teaching skills and cover the following subjects:

Career progression for students who complete the level 5 diploma in education and training includes teaching in the post-16 tertiary education sector of colleges and community schools. However, to teach in the state school sector, students must become members of the Society of Education & Training (SET) and complete their Initial Teacher Training (ITT), which includes successful completion of a level 5 teacher training course, assuming they have already completed a level 2 (GCSE) Maths and English or equivalent. Upon completion of the courses, students will receive their Qualified Teacher Learning Skills (QTLS), which is equivalent to the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and sufficient to teach in state schools and further education.
