About The Course

This course offers the level 4 diploma in entrepreneurship and the level 5 diploma in business management, providing aspiring business managers and future CEOs with the skills necessary to succeed in medium to large businesses, with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. The course comprises 240 credits and is equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate degree program, enabling learners to progress to the final year of a university program. The course comprises of 10 level 4 modules and 10 level 5 modules. Each module's evaluation will consist of one multiple-choice test and written assignments. At level 4, there will be 10 written assignments, while at level 5, there will be 6 written assignments. Our team of expert academics has developed a series of comprehensive online lessons to help learners prepare for these assessments. This material covers everything that is required and can be accessed at any time and from any location. Each module offers around 40 hours of guided learning content, and students can also access 30-50 hours of optional learning material to supplement their studies.   • Managing Business Operations: Introducing learners to key aspects of all businesses and how they operate within the wider business environment as well as internally.
  • Business Environment: Developing learners’ knowledge of the business environment and its impact on organisations, including factors that shape the internal environment and other external influences.
  • Personal Effectiveness: Exploring the skills of different approaches to learning, examining the significance of time management, and discussing the issue of management stress.
  • The Entrepreneurial Manager: Identifying competing perspectives on the nature of entrepreneurial management as both a function and a process supporting the process of organisational change and development.
  • Business Planning and Goal Setting: Identifying mechanisms for the setting of organisational goals and their achievement as part of the process of business planning.
  • The Manager’s Toolkit: Providing a selection of the most useful tools used in management and exploring some of the uses of each, helping learners analyse situations within the organisation, develop solutions to organisational problems, evaluate an organisation’s position in its operating and competitive environment, and develop elements of an effective organisational strategy.
  • Managing and Using Finance: Providing an outline of the use and management of finance within an organisation, including an introduction to accounting and financial terminology, and introducing the basics of financial reporting.
  • Managing and Using Marketing: Developing knowledge of marketing as a key management tool, including understanding the marketing planning process and the role of internal as well as external marketing, and helping learners understand the value of marketing activities to an organisation.
  • Psychology of Entrepreneurship: Introducing the fundamental principles of the science of psychology, relating them to the entrepreneurial perspective of business management.
  • Innovation and Creativity: Describing the role of innovation and creativity for organisations, considering models used to help understand and recognise their importance, as well as techniques to facilitate their use as part of strategic development.

 

The Entrepreneurial Manager

This module examines the skills and qualities of entrepreneurship, and the role of entrepreneurs in the business environment.

Organisation Structures

Learners explore the different models and theories of organisational structure, and the factors that determine the most effective structure for a given organisation.

Practical Accounting Analysis

This module provides learners with exercises to help them understand the meaning of accounts and the actions that analysis can generate.

Business Planning and Goal Setting

This module focuses on creating clear objectives and plans to achieve them, including understanding what the business wants to achieve, how it will achieve it, and what resources are required.

Politics and Business

Learners examine the impact of politics on business, including the economic impact, exports, and government support, and how politics can help or hinder businesses.

Business Law

This module explores the legal responsibilities of managers and executives in the context of business.

Managing in Today’s World

This module focuses on the modern business environment, including governance and equality, and their impact on business operations.

Performance Management

Learners explore ways to improve performance in business, including reward structures, continuous professional development, training, and development.

Marketing and Sales Planning

This module provides learners with an understanding of how to develop a cohesive marketing and sales plan, including analyzing markets, customers, competitors, and products.

Quantitative Skills

Learners develop knowledge of numerical exercises and their use within the context of business.

After successfully completing the undergraduate level 4 (Diploma in Entrepreneurship) and level 5 (Diploma in Business Management) along with the final year of an accredited undergraduate degree program, students will possess the necessary credentials to pursue a career in fields such as management, human resources, strategic business management, or even establish their own businesses.

The diploma in entrepreneurship at level 4 comprises of 10 modules and 10 written assignments, whereas the level 5 diploma in management has 10 modules and 6 written assignments. Each assignment is expected to be 2,000-3,000 words long. Students can seek support for the modules and assignments from the ‘Tutor’ section of the learning platform.

The fee for enrolling onto the level 4 and level 5 courses together is £5200. Alternatively students can enrol onto a single level (level 4 or 5) for £3800 each.

You must have completed full secondary education and be at least 18 years old to enroll in the Level 4 course. To enroll in the Level 5 course, you must have achieved Level 4 or its equivalent.
